Fun little surprise for the boys when they woke up on Valentine’s Day. 🙂
Here are our Love Lessons today:
- God makes our hearts whole. When Michael took out one of his favorite Starburst, David said, “Oh no! The heart is broken!” Then we had a nice little conversation about how God meets all our needs and if we have Him, our hearts can never be truly broken. Hurt, yes, but not broken. It was a neat parallel to what we’ve been studying in Bible from Who Is God.
- Love is a choice. We talked about how love is not an emotion or feeling, no matter what people around us say. God is love and He showed that love by sending Jesus to die for us when we were His enemies. Another great discussion about how we aren’t willing to die for even great people, but God sent His Son because Love is a choice, not a feeling. Tim gave a great example of that love this week with the BEST VALENTINE’S GIFT EVER!!!
- God’s Definition of Love: 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud 5 or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. 6 It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. 7 Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.
Happy Valentine’s Day Everyone!
What Love Lessons has God brought your way today?
